...and.of.all.the.other.things.I.did.in,KK

Here's a post about almost everything else I did in KK besides celebrate Christmas =)

Honestly, the main thing I miss about KK (besides family) is the food!!! And my main planned agenda in KK is to.....

HOHOHO!! I don't care if I become a fat blob, as long as I can eat ALL of these!!

Sad thing is, I didn't get to eat all. I got to eat some though, which is good enough for me I guess.

A normal "lemonade" or 'Lemon Ping' as they call it in KK. This is the only drink that I will order in KK. Why? Because KL doesn't serve this in normal coffee shops. Of course in those italian restaurants and more expensive or proper restaurants, they might have it la but try minta la "Limau Ais" in normal kedai kopi and you'll get Kit Chai, never lemon. So, yeah.

THIS IS THE FOOD THAT I MISS THE MOST AND ALWAYS CRAVING FOR IN KL!!!! MENGGATAL NGIU CHAP! This is not your normal "beef noodle", this my friend, is beef noodle sent from heaven! NO, I repeat, NO beef noodle in KL can compare to this. Not the ones I tried before anyway, and they call those "famous" and "delicious". Blehh.

Kedai Kopi Kai Shun kon lau mee in Bornion! SEDAAAAAPPPPPP!!!!!!! This is seriously very good and I do miss it too.

Waiting for the Zhu Chap Kon Lau Mee in Tg. Aru. Once the food came, I was too hungry and excited to eat and forgot to take a picture of it, haha! Basically it's yummy yummy kon lau mee (which is not your normal kon lau mee) with mixed pork innards and meat and stuff! YUMMY!!!!!!

Fried and steamed dumplings in damai just opposite the roti kahwin shop. YUMMY AND CHEAP! 60 cents per piece!

I didn't get to eat tuaran mee and roti kahwin though, but it's okay. At least I got to eat my ngiu chap for like, I don't know.... 4-5 times? Hehehe, it is SERIOUSLY, VERY delicious. KK people know what I'm talking bout.

Besides food, other things I did in KK was,

Play gimrami with my cousins. Haha, opened two tables! We're replacing the older generations already..... Normally when I come to my grandfather's house, he will be playing gimrami with his bros and sis and now we're following their footsteps haha!

Annual Disimon Clan Christmas celebration. It's a christmas celebration in which the whole Disimon family will gather and be merry. We do this every year and this is the 18th year. My grandpa has 9 siblings, so, each year we take turns to host this celebration following from the youngest to the oldest siblings' family. This year is the end of the second cycle!

Every year, we will have a theme to follow. The theme this time was Bollywood. Here we are, Bollywood clad!

Here's almost all of the Disimon Clan. We're missing actually, quite a lot. But we're still big.

Of course I celebrated New Year in KK as well.

And that was us after our annual New Year joyride behind my grandpa's hilux. We'll drive around the area and shout happy new year to passers by and also to the people in the houses that we pass by. And we also, like every year, get thrown with water by those celebrating outside their houses, having water fights and stuff. AND, like every year, WE forget to arm ourselves with water as well. Heh...... MUST REMEMBER TO ARM SELF WITH WATER NEXT YEAR!!

Well, that's all for my KK adventures! I just came back from Singapore yesterday. Went there for my mum's birthday. Will blog about that later. Also, I'll be going to Philippines this weekend for Chinese New Year, just like every year. It's been a few years where I celebrated Chinese New Year in Philippines and not in my hometown. Bleh, cannot get ang pau. Ish!
